Jesper Office was founded in 1935 in the little town called Ulfborg in the west of Denmark. It was established as the Furniture Factory Hundevad & Co. and was run by skilled Danish cabinet makers with a high attention to quality and traditional woodworking skills. These same principles play an important role in our production today.
In 1990 the furniture factory was bought by the entrepeneur Tonny Haahr, founder of several well known kitchen cabinet and funiture factories in Denmark. The product line and the logistics were streamlined including large investments in a modern high tech production facility. This increased efficiency and quality paid off, and the company experienced continued growth in the following years. The company name also changed to Jesper Office as Hundevad merged with another Danish furniture manufacturer, Jesper International.
Today we have grown to a highly effecient furniture factory with 150 employees, that integrates mordern machine technology with our roots - traditional woodworking skills. The factory is still located where it all started in the little town of Ulfborg where we have a 210,000 sq. ft. administrative, production and warehouse facility. See our Virtual Factory Tour.
We also have our own veneer factory in the Ukraine, Eastern Europe, with 65 employees supplying us with all veneer used in our production in Ulfborg.
